We have long recognised at West that specialisation is key to technical excellence, which in turn, is a core substance in business success. For that reason, we strive as we have always done to steer away from the “West is best for you and the rest” type of mind-set for, as banal as it may seem, we recognise that one shirt does not fit all.
It is only too easy for a company to entrap itself in monotonous business-conduct particularly after long years’ operating in the same comfort zone serving the same product to the same audience, in the same manner.
Having recognised that pitfall early on , we at West committed from the outset to a rolling swot-like assessment to keep us ahead of the curve continuously evaluating new products and niches that we could add to our existing mix in a synergistic non-linear manner in order to offer a richer wholistic O.S.S (One Stop Shop) experience to a varied but largely homogenous technical and engineering-focussed clientele; that in turn, enhances our company’s positioning and competitiveness and its prospects for continuity and meaningful growth.
With that in mind, West has grown from its humble beginnings as a modest parts and components supplier to a larger one that moved up the value-chain offering complete power solutions in partnership with worldwide brands like Hyundai and FG Wilson (CAT), further re-enforced by the addition of the North American heavy-plant manufacturer Liftking, as well as industrial safety & explosion proofing market leader Miretti Srl.
Continuing with the same philosophy, we have strengthened our portfolio by adding a dedicated service to cater to the highly specific, often overlapping, needs of companies and organisations operating in diverse sectors.
By way of example, we supply advanced laboratories, R&D organisations, TTM (technology telecom and media) companies, oil and gas companies and others in automotive, fabrication and manufacturing, life-sciences sectors and many more with products ranging from meters, monitors and scales to compressors, sterilisation equipment and hydraulic tables.
